During recent photo shoot I mentioned to a client that her dog was very photogenic (See: Daisy). She responded by questioning if that was something I told all dog owners, and asked, “Aren’t all dogs photogenic?” This is not always the case. That is not to say that these dogs are not cute, but, just like some humans, when the cameras come out, so do their goofiest faces.
Case in point, Chico:
Just over two months ago, my husband and I contacted Lucky Dog Rescue about becoming a foster family for one of their dogs. Less than 24 hours later, we met Chico. He is an adorable rat-terrier/chihuahua mix that mostly just wants to spend his day snuggling with you. Unfortunately, whenever I took my camera out, he looked like he had just spent some time in say, Denver or… Seattle?
This weekend my husband and I took Chico and our own dog, Ava, up to Sedona to celebrate my upcoming birthday. We stayed at a dog-friendly inn called, El Portal, near the Tlaquepaque shops in Sedona, Arizona. We had a very relaxing weekend of walking, hiking, shopping, and eating. Of course, I brought my camera along, and it turned out that all Chico needed to bring out his inner model was a destination photo shoot:
Cuteness hit top levels when he really began to relax:
A long day of playing and a bath meant it was time to hit the couch with, Ava:
Dreaming about his forever family:
Chico is available through Lucky Dog Rescue. Please check out their website to fill out an application form to adopt this little cutie, and feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions!
